What is BECE?

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the main examination that qualifies students for admission into secondary and vocational schools in Ghana (and some selected West African countries eg: Nigeria).

In Ghana, it is administered by the Ghana Education Service under the Ministry of Education twice each year:

BECE School – strictly for candidates in the third year of junior high schools approved by the Ghana Education Service
